More detail on this person: LTC Frederick J Schober Last Known Activity Major Don Jones was killed in a mid-air collision off the coast of Beaufort, South Carolina during a night patrol. The 4 crewmen from 2 F-4II "Phantom" from the VMFA-333 ("Shamrocks") MAG-31, MAW-2 aircraft were lost. They were based at the MCAS Beaufort. Those lost: Remains never recovered Crew Major Donald S.
