More detail on this person: Mr Roland Schwoebel, 62 Roland Schwoebel Dothan Eagle, The (AL) - Sunday, April 1, 2007 AL United States Mr. Roland Schwoebel of Enterprise passed away Friday, March 30, 2007 at the family residence following an extended illness. He was 62. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 from the Christ the King Lutheran Church with Pastor James Endrihs officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The body will be placed into the church one hour before service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 until 8 p.m. Mr. Schwoebel was born in Germany to the late Hans Peter Schwoebel and Regina Rupp Schwoebel Carpenter. He was retired from the U.S. Army of which he served during the Vietnam War. After his military career, he became a flight instructor having worked until his health failed in 1992 at which time he became employed with Westar working in Data Collection. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Enterprise. Survivors include his wife, Mira Schwoebel, Enterprise, two sons: Ramsey Schwoebel, Enterprise and Robert Schwoebel of Midland, Ga, his mother: Regina R. Carpenter, Orlando, Fla.: one sister, Maria Morales, Florida: one brother: George Thomas Carpenter, Florida: granddaughter, Alexis Rain Schwoebel, Dothan: grandsons, Jackson Schwoebel, Midland, Ga, and Brandon Schwoebel, Phenix City, nieces and nephews.
