Senay, 82, a longtime resident of Roswell, died
November 15, 2012. He is survived by his wife of
47 years, June Pryor Senay, and his children,
Timothy Senay, Steven Senay, David Brown, Diane
Brown Mabry, Jonathan Brown, and Lisa Brown
Hawkins. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren
and 5 great-grandchildren. Born into an Army
family on December 4, 1929 in Ft. Leavenworth,
Kansas, he was the younger of two children. The
family eventually settled in Atlanta where he
attended high school and The University of
Georgia, Atlanta Division, graduating in 1954. LTC
Senay spent 21 years in the United States Army,
serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He was an
Army Ranger and an Army Aviator. He was a
helicopter pilot with the 57th Transportation Corp
- 120th Aviation Co. After his career with the
Army, he went to work at Atlanta Office Furniture
Company until his retirement. David was an avid
reader, loved UGA football, and was fond of cats.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and
friend. He will be greatly missed. Internment will
be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1130
A.M. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday,
November 20, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at
Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, Roswell
770-645-1414. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
Foundation of America.
