Joseph Patrick Smith, 85, of Southern Pines, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005. Mr. Smith was an Army veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Services: Mass of Resurrection, 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. Visitation: 5 to 7 tonight at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst. Survived by: Wife, LeRose; sons, Steve and David; daughter, Cecily Stevens; brother, Philip; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
