"Bob" Stolpe, 77, died February 2, 2008, at his home in Pittsfield. He was born February 11, 1930, in Topeka, Kan., son of William and Della (Cowan) Stolpe. He graduated from Washburn University of Topeka and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years retiring with the rank of Major in 1977. He was a volunteer at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Fla. He was a member of the Florida Bass Federation and St. Marks United Methodist Church in Crestview, Fla. He is survived by his wife, M. Elizabeth "Libby" Stolpe of Pittsfield; daughter, Sara Tetley and her husband Gary of Manchester, Mo.; 2 sisters, Lois Elliott and husband, James "Jim" of Olathe, Kan., and Eleanor Janetos and her husband, Lewis of Rollinsford, N.H.; stepchildren, Suzan J. Dexter and companion Jason Orr of Pittsfield, Nancy A. and husband, Tim Harding of Plymouth, Rob W. Dexter and companion Dawn Millegan of Freeport, Fla., and Linda J. Dexter and fiancé Bob Bruce of Daytona, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Suzan S. Pearl. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., in Newport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S, Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
