More detail on this person: Lt. Col. George A. Sullivan (ret.) of Wickenburg died March 7 in Wickenburg. He was 72. Mr. Sullivan was born Dec. l, 1924 in Chicago, Ill. He had lived in Arizona for the past 22 years. Mr. Sullivan has been a generous servant of his community and St. Anthony of Padua parish for the past decade and will be missed. He was a United States veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Survivors include his wife Patricia, of Wickenburg; daughters Mary Slaton of Phoenix, Donna Mich of Glendale, Ariz., and Ann Wheatcraft of Phoenix; brother Joe of Ft. Myers, Fla.; sisters Catherine Born of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Mary Leahy of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Fr. John Vogt, Fr. Thomas Boyle and Fr. David Kelash, officiated the mass. A private cremation was planned, with his cremains placed in the St. Anthony Church Columbarium. The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 12, 1997
