More detail on this person: Michael F. Shane Michael F. Shane, 51, of Nitro, W.Va. and formerly of Rittman, died Monday night, June 12, 2000, at the home of his mother in Big Prairie. Memorial services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with the Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. He was born Nov. 20, 1948 in Wadsworth to Frederick and Martha (Woyat) Shane. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Martha and Dale Schmid of Big Prairie; a son, Tyler Shane of Eleanor, W.Va.; sisters, Connie Schaffter of Wadsworth, and Mrs. Sam (Kitty) Patterson of Burbank; stepbrothers, Gregory (Jan) Schmid of Wooster, and Kevin (Lori) Schmid of Shreve; stepsisters, Mrs. Tom (Lynn) Ransbottom of Upper Arlington, and Joan Schmid of Wooster.
