More detail on this person: James Sparrow, 59 No Headline Available Jonesboro Sun, The (AR) - Saturday, September 9, 2000 James Sparrow, 59, of Imboden, died Friday at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Searcy, he was a carpenter, served sixteen years in the Army as a Captain and was of the Baptist belief. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Sparrow of Imboden; two sons, Randy Sparrow of Jonesboro and Jim Sparrow of Colorado; two stepsons, Kevin Lee of Walnut Ridge and Tim Lee of Savannah, Ga.; seven other sons and daughters; his mother, Maxine Medlock of Walnut Ridge; a sister, Margaret Beck of Walnut Ridge; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Hardy Sparrow. Graveside services will be held at 2 Sunday afternoon at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery, with Dale Blackwell officiating. Ray Parsons, Chelcy Parsons, W.D. Willard, Ronnie Pierce, Curt Huckabee and Bud Burnside will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie.
