More detail on this person: LARRY E. STUART OBITUARIES Fayetteville Observer, The (NC) - Thursday, November 19, 1998 PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. -- Retired Army Lt. Col. Larry Edwin Stuart, 62, of Pawley's Island, formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., died Tuesday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. During Mr. Stuart's military career, he was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster, the Senior Army Aviator Badge, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Master Parachutist Badge and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with palm. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville by the Rev. Jose Miranda. Burial with military honors will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, N.C. Mr. Stuart is survived by his wife, Luz M. Stuart of Pawley's Island; a son, Larry E. Stuart Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five sisters, Marie Tabb, Helen Askew and Judy Adams, all of Colquitte, Ga., Betty Marden of Dallas and Hazel Tipton of Donaldsonville, Ga.; two brothers, Charles Stuart of Valdosta, Ga., and Bill Stuart of Houston; and four granddaughters. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 5624 Executive Drive, Suite 100, Charlotte, N.C. 28212.
