More detail on this person: John passed away,
very suddenly, in Norfolk, Va. in October 2006. I
worked closely with John for over 10 years and am
a Vietnam veteran myself and remember him
speaking quite fondly of the 77 ARA. This information was last updated 05/18/2016

I served with Johnny in the 4/77 ARA at camp
Evans in Viet Nam. He was a great friend and I
think about him often. I am surprised at his
passing and I wish I had stayed in touch.

Johnny and I were Captains (Field Artillery) in
C/4/77 ARA, 101st in 70-71 in Nam. Later we
served together as LTC's and he was my Regular
Army Advisor as an LTC when I commanded the
40th Division Artillery.
He was Commander of a Cav Squadon at Fort
Lewis, I believe that was his last assignment. He
went to work for a Contractor at Fort Leavenworth
teaching computer War Gaming, for a few years. I
spent some time with him there in late '80's but
then lost track of him. He was a great pilot and
friend. I regret ,as we all do, loosing track of
old friends, and then hearing that he was gone,
way too early.
