More detail on this person: Edwin Bryan Taylor was promoted into heaven through death on July 27, 2013 in Hendersonville, at the age of 72 after a courageous battle against the dreadfull disease of ALS. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Darlene Bello Taylor, of Hendersonville; sons, Chris (Lorie) Taylor of Hendersonville, and Tom Taylor, of Tucker, GA.; daughter, Stephanie "Pepper" Acevdeo (Devin), of Hendersonville; grandchildren Austin Acevedo, Noah Taylor, Rachel Taylor and Nayliana Taylor, all of Hendersonville. He was born Feb. 23, 1941, in Tyler, TX. He served 33 years in the U.S. Army, being one of the first to achieve the rank of chief warrant officer 5. He served in both the Vietnam conflict and Desert Storm, earning a Distinguished Flying Cross and Bronze Star in battle. Visitation for the family will be Thursday, Aug. 1, 7-9 p.m., and Friday Aug. 2, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Church at Indian Lake. A celebration of life memorial will take place on Friday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m. at The Church of Indian Lake, 1004 Drakes Creek Road, Hendersonville.
