Chris Len Tannahill (retired), 58, of Justin, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at a Denton hospital. Mr. Tannahill was born on June 18, 1947, to Collis Wilborn and Mildred Tress Allen Tannahill in Plainview, Texas. He married "Gigi" Glenda Creech on Jan. 19, 1968, in Canyon, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Denton Funeral Home in Denton, Texas. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Pallbearers will be Jim Bloomberg, Tim Dewhirst, Chris Litherland, John Moore, Pete Purnell and Lew Smalley. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Tannahill was a retired major in the U.S. Army with 25 years of service. He currently was employed with CAE SimuFlite at DFW Airport, where he was a flight instructor. Mr. Tannahill is survived by his wife, Gigi, of Justin; one daughter and son-in-law, Christie Lynne (active duty with U.S. Marine Corps) and Patrick Jay Hale of San Diego, Calif.; one son and daughter-in-law, James Wilborn Tannahill (patrolman for Highland Village Police Department) and wife Missy of Grapevine, Texas; two sisters, Sherri Taylor and husband John of Friona, Texas, and Patricia Pleasants of Austin, Texas; one brother, Richard Craig and wife Cathy Tannahill of Chaplin, Conn.; brother-in-law and wife, John and Ida Creech of Houston, Texas; and sister-in-law and husband, Lisa and Mike Hale of Midland, Texas; two cousins, Eugene Tannahill of Lockney, Texas, and Miffy Tannahill of Keller, Texas; seven grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
