More detail on this person: Paul Thurman, 62, of Lorena passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2012 from 6-8pm at Connally Compton Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10am at Connally Compton.

Paul was born in St Louis, Missouri on November 27, 1949 to George and Norma Thurman. He proudly served in the US Army as a pilot for 22 years and retired as a CW4. Paul was a member of the Temple Elks Lodge BPOE 138. Paul spent many hours volunteering at the VA in Temple. There were few things more important to Paul than barbecuing with his family and watching his beloved New York Yankees.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, George Thurman.

Paul is survived by his wife Jodi Thurman; children, Kendra Williams and husband Marty, and Paul Thurman Jr. and wife Chesca; grandchildren, Lane Thurman, Mikayla Saye, Logan Thurman, and Jaxen Thurman; mother, Norma Day; and siblings, Pam Austin, Allen Thurman, Mark Thurman, and Renee Atkins.
