More detail on this person: Alvin L. Tatman Alvin L. Tatman, 67, of Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Lebanon, died Thursday morning, Dec. 10, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. He was born Nov. 17, 1942, in Emporia, Kan., to Albert and Dorothy Garrett Tatman, who preceded him in death. On April 4, 1970, he married Janet Sue Sutton. Alvin L. Tatman served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army for 20 years with two tours of duty in Vietnam during the war. He was a pilot and a helicopter instructor, and later he worked as a supervisor for Dyncorp International at Fort Campbell, Ky. He had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Janet Sue, of the home; two daughters, Sarah K. Herman of Lebanon and Janet Lynn King and her husband, Greg, of Clarksville, Tenn.; four granchidren, Luke, Heather, Blake and KateLynne; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Ashylea; a sister, Ruby Barber of Arizona; and his mother-in-law, Neva Sutton of Lebanon. Funeral services for Alvin L. Tatman are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon with Rev. David Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the McBride Cemetery near Competition with full military rites by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
