More detail on this person: HOMER LEROY THOMAS JR. Duncan Banner, 4 March 2003 HOMER LEROY THOMAS JR., 68, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas, formerly of Duncan, died Saturday, March 1, 2003, in Bryan, Texas. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hilltop Lakes Chapel with Bro. Chuck Isbell and Bro. Bob Kristensen officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fort Sill National Cemetery in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee, Texas. Mr. Thomas was born Feb. 25, 1935, in Achille. He had been a resident of Hilltop Lakes for eight years. He was retired from the United States Army as a CW 4. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and Hilltop Lakes Golf Association. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Paula J. Thomas, of Hilltop Lakes; three sons, Robert Thomas and his wife Linda of Waupun, Wis., Randall Thomas and Russell Thomas, both of Springfield, Va.; a stepson, Stanley Golden and his wife Kim of Durant; two stepdaughters, Susan Golden of Durant and Rebecca Meckel of Waco, Texas; a brother, William Thomas and his wife Karen of Enid; a sister, Elizabeth Taylor and her husband John of Lawton;
