More detail on this person: Pat was a member
of A Trp 2/17 Air Cavalry, 101st Airborne Div. at
Ft. Campbell, Ky, when he died. Pat was a real
thrill seeker with no inhibitions after his tour.
Pat died while `rafting' on the waters of an
`over-the-bank' flooding Cumberland River in
Clarksville, TN. This information was last updated 05/18/2016

If you believe in coincidences, it was just a
coincidence that Tom Tennimon was his
inseperable best and closest friend. Check Tom's
date and location on the same list.
I was the senior Warrant Officer in the unit at
that point in time.
From: Tom Suprock
We both attended the AH-1G transition at Hunter
AAF, GA. in Nov-Dec of 1970. We ended up in the
90th replacement and were assigned to the 235th
AWC in CAN THO IV Corp, under the command of
MAJ. Jerome "Jerry" Daly (ARMY Aviator of the the
year 1967). We were in the 3rd platoon under CPT.
James Thompson (VIPER PLATOON). When we
first arrived we were front seaters flying for
several months in the Delta as far south as the U
MINH forrest and operating into Cambodia from Chi
Lang on the S. Vietnamese-Cambodia border. The
unit also flew convoy cover from Sihanoukville (w.
coast Cambodia) to Phenom Penh.
In February of 1971, the company of 21 AH1Gs
moved to I Corp to Hue Phi Bai. There were flew
out of FBO Khe Sanh into Laos supporting the
invasion to cut the supply line at Xepon, Laos
where the river and highway 9 intersected. See
information on Lam Son 719. This was largest,
most complex, and most important operation of the
war to date. A really bad time with tank columns
in the daylight and WWII anti-aircraft flack
levels. We later returned to Can Tho.
I was in the 18th ABN Division upon returning to
the states when learned of his death. Always
another adventure for him....and a good friend.
