More detail on this person: I've been trying to find friends of TED WIGGS Loach pilot Binh Dinh Prov. 69/70, He was shot down and suffered from injuries until he passed few years ago. I was combat medic with the Cav. at LZ-Uplift 67/68. Ted and I were great friends. I've talked to a couple 7/17th guy's in the past that might have known him. I was just hoping to find some of his buddies to hopefully see some pictures, and Info. Also just wondering where you guy's are having your reunion? I was in the Binh Dinh Prov. area 67/68, I think the same area Ted was shot down. Ted spent 30 months in the V.A Hospital and was forced to use Catheters every time he has to use the urnal. Except for that inconvenice, He was a very happy person that loved people and enjoyed life. He died quitely in his sleep. He was also a God Fearing Man and well Respected in our Town. Ted parents and only sister have passed and no other family of his left. Ted helped a lot of Vet's thru the paper work for V.A. benefits for compensation. He was an Officer with our VFW Post 1925. And was always available for people in need. Ted always told me the story of being shot down and being stuck in the top of a tree upside down and went to get his pistol out and it slipped out of the holster and fell to the bubble of the chopper and all he could do was look at it because he couldn't reach it. Thank-God the Blues got there in time for rescue and evac. Joe, You guys were Angel's to us grunts on the ground. The sound of wop wop coming at us always meant hot food, supplies, Ammo, mail, or air lift out of some God Forsaken area. In 67/68 I helped a couple chopper crews get safely away from their downed craft and back to safe area. If your or your buddies have any info please share with me. Also where are planning your Reunion? If anybody knows anything, I might attend if permitted. I live in Southern Indiana. Please RESPOND!! Welcome Home Brothers!!!! Toby V.
