More detail on this person: Robert Francis Worcester WORCESTER, ROBERT FRANCIS Robert Francis Worcester, 65, passed away Christmas day 2008, the result of a brain tumor. Born in San Diego, he graduated from Clairemont High School in 1961 and j oined the Army, a career he loved. Retiring in 1987 as a Chinook helicopter pilot, rank CW3, Robert returned to San Diego and found a second family at La Jolla Lighting where he worked for many years before retiring again. A craftsman, avid reader and gregarious conversationalist, Robert earned the love and respect of all around him. He was interred at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in September 2009. His sister, Rosemary, would like to thank all the family, friends, neighbors and doctors and nurses at Scripps Memorial who helped the two of them through this difficult passage. Robert was our much loved friend, brother and uncle. He will be forever in our hearts.
