More detail on this person: CW4 Retired Howard Working, a resident of Sierra Vista for 31 years, passed away on Dec. 24, from idiopathic pulmonary fibrous. He was born in Coon Rapids, Minn., and attended school in Coon Rapids, Anoka, Minn., and The University of Minnesota. He joined the Army warrant officer program in 1967. Howard flew helicopters and fixed wing aircraft in Vietnam, Colorado, Aiabama, North Carolina, Germany and Fort Huachuca. He received his master's degree in education at Fort Huachuca. He dearly loved flying in the Army for 22 years, but also loved teaching math at Buena High School. Howard enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, bowling, camping, geocaching and visiting other countries. He and his, wife Mary managed to visit countries in every continent. Howard and Mary just celebrated 48 years of very memorable marriage on Dec. 18. Howard is survived by his wife, Mary Petersen Working; sons, Christopher and Donovan (Stephanie); sister, Jennifer Rebartchek; grandchildren, Maya and Owen Working. Memorials may be made to the Sierra Vista United Methodist music fund, or the Buena High School scholarship fund. A celebration of Howard's life will be held at the United Methodist Church in Sierra Vista on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the service.
