More detail on this person: James Harrison Young.was born on Feb 24 1946, in St Helene, CA, in the NapaValley. He joined the Army in 1967. His flight classes were 67-11, 67-9. His first assignment was Viet Nam; his call sign was the Sharks and his unit was 174th AHC from 67-68. After Viet Name he went to Germany, met his future wife, and eventually moved to Morro Bay where he attended California Polytechnic Univ in San Luie Obispo. He received his Bachelor's degree in finaqnce. Jim has a long banking career with Wells Fargo and Security Pacific while also flying helicopters with the National Guard in Los Alamitos CA. He retired after 20 years with a rank of Major. Jim passed on 18 Dec 2024 after a brief illness. He is survived by his brother, 2 sisters and 2 sons. He retired in Newport Coast part of Newport Beach, CA. He was a member of the American Legion in Newport Beach. He was proud of his military career and we salute you, James Young.
