Additional information about this casualty:
Bruce and I swapped helicopters at lunch and when they crashed we returned to the crash site. Our Crew Chief and I were able to extract Bruce and John S Roederer, the Aircraft Commander from the wreckage and took them to the morgue.

Bruce and I were both Co-Pilots with Aircraft Commanders that had come to Vietnam with the squadron when it was deployed there. Bruce and I were additions to the squadron about four (4) months before these original pilots were to return home.
