Additional information about this casualty:
SP5 David Miles, SSG Kerr, and WO1 Robertson were making 'bunker bombs' in the armorer's shack at Tay Ninh. They crewed a LOH together. They would remove the fuzes from two captured 82mm mortar rounds and tape these to an American frag grenade. Dave decided to go take a shower. Three or four minutes later there was an explosion. The other two died. Dave said there wasn't much left of them. Submitted by David Miles VHCMA 1998 Reunion. Larry Ford sent a copy of information contained in a book written about Allen's high school friend, Pattye Sampson Taylor.
