War Story:
This helicopter had a mid-air at night with a UH-1 over Da Nang. Their main rotor blade(s) contacted the skids of the UH-1 causing the loss of one or more blades at a fairly high altitude. The H-34 fell into a rice paddy near "Charley Med" just west of the Da Nang airfield complex. The crew of the UH-1 were not hurt and landed safely. I have slides of the accident site. Dermod F. (Jerry) Norton, HMM-363.
