Accident Summary:
The aircraft departed the LZ on an armed recon mission with max gross weight and five persons on board. During take off, the aircraft lost RPM and continued with its mission. Starting up a ravine, an enemy soldier was spotted by the gunner and the same pilot lost RPM. Due to a tall tree, he turned left to engage the target at low airspeed. The aircraft lost RPM and the pilot landed on the side of a ravine and the aircraft slide ten feet then tipped over on its left side into a small stream bed.
