Accident Summary:

At 4600 feet MSL the aircraft made a left turn and crashed into trees on the hill top. Weather was a factor with strong winds at 40 knots, turbulence and low lying clouds.


War Story:
From 4th Div summary for January 1968. Entry on Jan 1 1968: At ZB138350, B/3/12th found wreckage of a helicopter that crashed 31 December 1967 resulting in three U.S. KIA and one U.S. WIA.

Vicinity Dak Mong 16 KM NE of Dak To City.
