Description: SF A-122 Det, an LLDB team, six interpreters, and about 74 strikers garrisoned the border camp when an enemy force of regimental size attacked at 0200H. The VC did not follow and stayed in the camp only two hours before withdrawing with their wounded and the camp's stock of arms and ammunition. The Americans reentered the compound with the coming of daylight. Losses were 46 KIA strikes and 3 LLDB; WIAs, 27 strikers, 3 LLDB, 5 SF, 5 Nungs, and 6 interpreters. VC losses were estimated at between 105 and 175 but all VC bodies had been removed.
