Battle of Mang Yang Pass information

Description: This battle began when the VC ambushed and destroyed a large South Vietnamese convoy in the Mang Yang Pass. As part of the general deterioration of the GVN side, MACV had decided to strengthen the security of Highway 19 by repositioning two Montagnard CIDG camps into the area in January. This VC ambush effectively blocked Highway 19 to Pleiku.
