Description: The A Company, 1st Aviation Battalion unit history states that during the night of July 2 and July 3, the VC mortared the Cheo Reo airfield damaging several helicopters. One UH-1D was flown away during the attack by 1LT Edward T. Pledger (the name is difficult to read). Upon landing at Qui Nhon, the crew counted (the text is difficult to read) 80 hotes in the aircraft.
