 Description: The A Company, 1st Aviation Battalion unit history states that during the Duc Co operation (DAN THANG 5), they provided aircraft each day to the 52nd Avn Bn for purpose of resupply, medical evacuation, and small troop placements throughout the operational area. The siege was finally broken on 15 August with the withdrawal of the VC regiment into Cambodia. Company A was released and returned to Ban Me Thout.
