1. SITUATION.
a. Enemy Forces: Bde OPORD 31-66 (MOANA).
b. Friendly Forces: 2d Bde conducts encirclement and detailed search of Trung Lap village (XT 5921) 6 Aug 66.
2. MISSION. 1st Bn (Mech), 5th Inf conducts reconnaissance in force / S&D operations in AO's RAVEN and DOVE commencing 050930AUG66 to encourage VC living and working in the area to seek refuge in Trung Lap.
3. EXECUTION. Concept of Operation: 1st Bn (Mech), 5th Inf conducts reconnaissance in force and/or S&D opns in AO RAVEN and DOVE commencing 050930AUG66. Co A moves along Axis JAN to areas 3, 7 and 2. Co B moves on Axis PEG to areas 10, 8 and 1. Co C moves on Axis LISA to Areas 5, 12, 13 and 4. Recon Plat recons in Area 9, then moves on Axis JAN to Area 11.
