For date 661006

A/2/20 ARA was a US Army unit
Primary service involved, US Army
South Vietnam
Location, Nuoc Ngot Bay
Description: The battalion history states that this was a unique day for the ARA. As ground elements pushed east toward the South China Sea, enemy units attempted to cross the Nuoc Ngot Bay in small boats. Battery A elements lead by MAJ Pollard, flew low over the water from east to west, herded the boats back to shore with machine gun fire, while on shore friendly units rounded up the reluctant VC. The action resulted in two VC KIAs and four boats sunk.
