Description: The 155th Aviation Company unit history states that Operation SEARCHLIGHT required two gunship in the Phan Thiet area during this period to test the suitability of using the zion infrared searchlight during night combat operations. Working in conjunction with elements of the 1st Cav, the FALCONS hit hard at VC activity in keeping Route #8 open norht of Phan Thiet and impairing enemy rice stealing raids.
