Location, Hat Dich Special Zone
Description: This search and destroy operation was designed to search the Hat Dich Special Zone and was one of the first operations conducted by the newly arrived 9th Infantry Division. The 3/39th, 2/60th, and 5/60th Inf Bns operated under the control of the 3d Brigade, 9th Inf. This force would make contact with elements of the 274th Main Force VC Regiment.
