Location, Long Binh
Description: This security and defense operation was conducted around the Bien Hoa Air Base and the Long Binh complex by the 2/28th Inf from the 1st Inf Div and three battalions (2/39th, 4/39th, and 2/60th) of the newly arrived 9th Infantry Division possibly under the control of the 1st Brigade, 9th Inf. This was the first operation to carry the name UNIONTOWN.
