Location, Prek Klok
Description: While supporting operation JUNCTION CITY, the 2/2nd Inf, 1st Inf Div was on FSPB II about 20 miles northeast of Tay Ninh city near the Prek Klok stream. At 2026 they spotted three enemy soliders moving into position and went to 75 percent alert. At 2208 the VC commenced a heavy mortar attack and counter-mortar fire was initiated. After these ended, a recon by fire was conducted around the perimeter and a little later the enemy attacked. By midnight the fights was over. The morning sweep disclosed 197 enemy killed and 5 wounded.
