Location, Dak Pek
Description: In support of GREELEY, the 173d Abn moved a second battalion, the 4/503d Abn, to Dak Pek to reaction to the increased NVA activity around the SF camp since late July. These two battalions conducted search and destroy operations to the south and west of Dak Pek until the 21st when they were lifted back to Dak To. This reinforcement and the heavy ARVN reaction to the NVA around Dak Seang may have helped the NVA move back across the border and saved Dak Pek.
