Description: The ammo storage area and bulk fuel farm were destroyed when 41 NVA artillery rounds hit Dong Ha. HMM-361 had 17 helicopters damaged and for the next while CH-53s from HMH-463 moved these back to Marble Mountain for repair. After this the Marines stopped using Dong Ha as a permanant helicopter and major logistics base. No one died but 77 were wounded. HMM-361's Yearbook reported that 46 Squadron personnel were wounded.
