Description: As part of CORONADO V, the 3/60th Inf Bn from the Mobile Riverine Force, 9th Inf Div was ambushed about four miles northeast of Cai Be by a well-entrenched force from the 514th LF Bn. The 3/60th and the 5/60th Inf Bns reinforced during the fight. Losses were: 9 U.S. KIAs and 23 WIAs, 134 VC KIAs and 39 POWs.
