Description: The 282nd AHC unit history reported this was their second full year of operations. Their mission was supporting I Corps HQ, the I Corps Advisory effort and operations of the 1st and 2d ARVN Divs. Their slicks operated under the name BLACK CATS and their guns ALLEYCATS. They supported combat assault, medical evacuation, resupply, visual reconnaissance, command and control, firefly, armed escort, suppressive fire, close air support and other missions as requested.
