Location, Plei Trap Valley
Description: There were two phases to these Project DELTA reconnaissance missions named SULTAN. They were conducted in the Plei Trap Valley. The teams confirmed that the 32d NVA Regt had moved into the area following the Battle of Dak To. During this phase, additional reconnaissance and roadrunner teams were inserted along the border to detect enemy movement to the east. An increased number of enemy sighting were made which lead to several light contacts. Casualties: Allies 14 KIA, 48 WIA; Enemy 28 KIA, 1 POW and 3 SA captured.
