Location, Khe Sanh Combat Base
Description: Was a comprehensive intelligence effort to find the NVA surrounding Khe Sanh. It involved high-resolution photography, radars, and a complex array of highly classified gadgets designed to locate enemy positions and movements. These devices included acoustic, seismic, infrared, and electrochemical sensors. Eventually ground patrols and this intelligence effort would identify the NVA order of battle for Khe Sanh. The NVA 325C division was northwest, the 304th was southwest, one regt of 324th division was 10 to 15 miles north in the DMZ, and the 320th division was around the Rockpile.
