Description: BLT 3/1st Marines conducted this search and destroy operation to clear the north banks of the Cua Viet River and prevent enemy interdiction of river traffic. MAG-16 supported at least some of these activities. Casualties: US - 12 KIAs, 49 WIAs; enemy 10 KIAs.
