Description: The MAG-16 command chronology reported operations in the Chu Lai area were normal. In the Da Nang TAOR one VMO-2 UH-1E was hit at BT015586, no injuries; two HMM-265 CH-46As were hit, one at AT8274, no injuries, and one at AT910910, resulting in minor injuries to one crew member. In the Dang Ha area, one H&MS-16 O-1G was hit at YD248826, no injuries. At 1915H, one HMH-463 CH-53A call sign DIMMER 3-2 (YH-17 BuNo 153278) was declared overdue and missing after being last reported at 092 degrees/20 NM from Channel #69 enroute to MMAF on an IFR clearance. Search and rescue operations were instigated.
