Description: The MAG-16 command chronology reported operations in the Chu Lai area were normal. At 0145H the An Hoa airfield received 7 or 8 rounds of mortar fire. One round struck the end of the runway. Dmage was limited and did not affect operations. Search and rescue operations continued for the missing HMH-463 CH-53A.
