Description: The MAG-16 command chronology reported operations in Chu Lai area were normal. In the Da Nang area, three HMM-265 CH-46As were hit, one at BT105623, no injuries; one at BT048584, no injuries; and one at BT078517, no injuries; two HMH-463 CH-53As were hit, one at AT120570, no injuries and one at YD898228, no US injuries but one ARVN received minor wounds. At 0425H Marble Mountain Airfield came under enemy rocket attack. About 9 rockets hit various points on the airfield, mainly in the area of the Army's 16th CAG. One rocket hit in the VMO-2 area slightly damaging six UH-1Es. MAG-16 units conducted one emergency extraction of recon team "Dublin City" at AT853701. Search and rescue operations continued for the missing HMH-463 CH-53A.
