Description: The MAG-16 command chronology reported operations in the Chu Lai area were normal. In the Da Nang area, two VMO-2 UH-1Es were hit, one at AT987575, no injuries; one HMH-463 CH-53A was hit at AT788533, no injuries; one HMM-265 CH-46A was hit at BT005576, no injuries. Search and rescue operations continued for the missing HMH-463 CH-53A.
