Description: A/7/17 Cav reported their Scouts took 6 NVA under fire. The NVA scattered in all directions. While searching for the scattered enemy, the Scouts observed a small machine gun on wheels, 117 packs and 7 or 8 individuals. Exchanging fire, the Scouts killed one. Arty and air strikes were employed killing 8 more. Still searching the same area, the Scouts surprised an estimated platoon and killed 6 more. Their Guns fired up the area, but the NVA escaped leaving a total of 15 KIAs behind.
