Description: The 361st AWC reported that their first group of aviators departed for Bien Hoa to attend Cobra transitiong training and their first enlisted personnel also went to Bien Hoa for AH-1G maintenance training. "Three Pink Panther pilots deserve special recongnition as they were honor graduates of three successive classes. They are 1LT George Capehart, 1LT Harry Small, and WO1 Barney Pultz. 1LT Terry Gunter was awarded the Soldier's Medal for heroism while at Cobra School. He helped rescue trapped personnel from a crashed and inverted UH-1 in the face of potential danger of fire and explosion. Specialist Oliver of the armament section was selected as the honor student in his training class."
