Description: The 155th Aviation Company unit history states that they provided 7 slicks and 2 gunships for support of the beseiged forces at Duc Lap. More re-inforcements were desperately needed to quell the attacking force. As the first wave of lift ships descended on final for the LZ, enemy AA gunners opened fire on the flight, sending one aircraft to the ground in flames. There were no injuries to the crew, however 4 passengers parished in the burning wreckage. Within minutes, the crew was rescued and evacuated to Ban Me Thuot.
