Description: The Air Ambulance Platoon monthly newsletter reported that Sept was their first full month of operation as the Air Ambulance Platoon. The unit's carpenters and electricians remodeled living quarters and started on a new CP. They experienced no serious damage to aircraft or buildings during the typhoon. Mentioned that SP4 James Martin was recovering nicely in Walter Reed. The Newsletter contained a letter of commendation of COL Harold I. Hayward, CO, 1st Bde, 101st for the supported rendered in the A Shau Valley during SOMERSET PLAIN. It also lists the individuals who received awards on 16 Sep 68.
